Student-Initiated Experience

If you have an idea for an experience that is not listed within any of the ELE categories, speak with your advisor or faculty mentor! It's possible that your idea would be an appropriate experience for one or more of the possible ELEs.

Examples of qualifying experiences include the following:  

  • Be chosen as an institutional nominee or finalist for a national scholarship
  • Be chosen to participate in the University Scholars Program  
  • Receive a prestigious national or regional award in any field of study (approval of a professor within your discipline will be required)
