Alumni Mentoring Program

Mentoring a current Honors student is great way to stay connected to the University Honors Program, pass on your knowledge, and make a difference in the life of an Honors student.

With over 1,400 students participating in the Honors Program, we can pair you with a student whose interests and career goals are similar to your own. As a Mentor, you will have the opportunity to help your mentee . . .

  • Better visualize both their career path and different career options
  • Practice the skills needed to develop a large network of professional contacts
  • Prepare for the rigors and realities of the professional world
  • Expand their network of KU advisors and enhance their undergraduate experience

University Honors can match you with students from any academic discipline at KU, including pre-law, pre-medicine, business, engineering, journalism, research, humanities, social sciences, pharmacy, and more!

To become a University Honors Alumni Mentor, contact our Assistant Director for Advising Ed Healy.
