Natasha LaGrega (she/her/hers) grew up in Leawood, Kansas, and is currently a junior at KU pursuing a BA in microbiology and a minor in psychology while on the pre-med track. Natasha works in Dr. Brian Ackley’s undergraduate research lab studying neuronal development. Natasha is passionate about healthcare, and has worked as a CNA, received a phlebotomy license, shadowed, and volunteered at LMH. She also studied abroad in Spain where she shadowed Spanish doctors for 6 weeks. Natasha is the Founder and President of the KU STEM Initiative, a student organization on campus focused on STEM outreach to K-12 students. She was accepted into the Clinton Global Initiative University class of 2018, and has used this experience to help her start a non-profit organization. Natasha is also a global scholar, and is excited to continue serving others through healthcare and global STEM outreach.
