Summary

Christa Stenzel (she/her/hers) is a senior from De Soto, Kansas double majoring in Social Work and Psychology. She intends to pursue a career in public policy and program development to benefit underrepresented populations. Christa is an active leader across campus. Currently, she is the President for the Psychology Honor Society, Psi Chi, and Vice President for the BSW Student Group. In the past, she held the position of Fundraising Director for three organizations: Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, Natural Ties, and the BSW Student Group. She also serves as the BSW Student Representative on the KS-NASW Board of Directors. During her time at KU, she has also volunteered for the Lawrence Community Shelter, worked as an Honors Seminar Assistant, conducted research in Dr. Gillath’s Social Interactions Lab, and studied abroad in Norway. Working on campus has been a big part of Christa’s time at KU. She has held positions wih Student Housing and Analyics & Instiutional Research. Last summer, she had the opportunity to intern for Dallas Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA). When she is not on campus, you can find her reading a mystery novel or exploring local coffee shops.
