Incoming Freshmen
Priority Deadline is November 8.
Incoming Freshman should apply to the Honors Program when they submit their application to the University of Kansas through KU Admissions. Along with the standard application materials required by KU (ACT/SAT scores, etc.), a University Honors application will also require a resume and a response to one of three essay questions (PDF). Applications will not be reviewed until a high school transcript has been received by Admissions. Before applying, be sure to read through our Tips for Applicants.
Already admitted to KU?
Incoming Freshman who do not apply to the Honors Program through the Admissions website can still apply online until May 1 once admitted to KU through the Incoming Freshmen: Honors Program Application.
- Be sure you're using the latest version of Firefox or Internet Explorer to submit the form. (Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge do not support the required Java plugin.)
- Before submitting your application, please make sure the Attachments button indicates the correct number of attachments. For example, after attaching one document, the Attachments button will display like this “Attachments (1)”. After attaching two documents, the Attachments button will display like this “Attachments (2)”.
- To open a link in another browser, right click on the link and select ‘Copy Hyperlink,’ then paste the link to your alternate browser.
Transfer Students
Transfer students must first submit an application to the University of Kansas through Admissions. Along with the standard application required by KU, you will also need to complete our Current/Transfer Student Application. Please note that applications will not be reviewed until at least one semester of college grades have been received.
Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis starting:
-November 15 through two weeks before the start of the spring semester
-June 15 through two weeks before the start of the fall semester
Current KU Students
Current KU students should apply online through the Current/Transfer Student Application. Please note that applications will not be reviewed until at least one semester of college grades have been received.
